Egyptians Boycott Products That Support Israel

In recent months, there has been a growing movement in Egypt to boycott products that support Israel. This movement has been driven by a number of factors, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Egyptian government’s support for the Palestinian people, and the belief that boycotting Israeli products is a way to express solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

The list of products that are being boycotted in Egypt is extensive and includes a wide range of goods and services. Some of the most commonly cited products include:

  • Food and beverages: Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Lays, Cheetos, Twix, Doritos, Schweppes, Red Bull, and Nescafe.
  • Personal care products: Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Colgate, Johnson & Johnson, Pampers, and L’Oréal.
  • Household products: Ariel, Tide, Vanish, Febreze, and Glade.
  • Clothing and accessories: Nike, Adidas, H&M, and Zara.
  • Electronics: Apple, Samsung, and Sony.

It is important to note that not all of these products are actually produced in Israel. Some of them are produced by companies that have a presence in Israel, but they may also be produced in other countries. However, the boycott movement argues that even if these products are not produced in Israel, they still contribute to the Israeli economy.

The boycott movement has had a significant impact on the Egyptian market. Some companies have reported a decline in sales, and others have been forced to pull their products from the Egyptian market. The movement has also been credited with raising awareness of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the plight of the Palestinian people.

It is unclear how long the boycott movement will continue. However, it is clear that it has struck a chord with many Egyptians who are committed to supporting the Palestinian cause.

It’s good that we have to support Palestinian people but the locally made products are so expensive and out of reach for the normal citizen we need to come up with a better solution
