Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of the Saudi club Al-Nassr, was crowned with his first title with his team since joining it in December of last year 2022, after leaving the ranks of his former team Manchester United.

Ronaldo led Al Nasr towards crowning the title of the current edition of the Arab Championship 2023, at the expense of his counterpart Al Hilal, with two goals to one, in the match that was held between them this evening, Saturday, at King Fahd Sports City Stadium, in the final of the King Salman Club Cup 2023.

Ronaldo scored the winning goals in favor of the Saudi victory in the final match, to also succeed the Portuguese star in obtaining the title of top scorer of the tournament with 6 goals.

Hilal qualified for the final match of the King Salman Club Cup, after winning 10 players over rivals Al-Shabab 31, in the semi-finals, at King Fahd Sports City Stadium, while Al-Nasr qualified after overcoming its Iraqi counterpart Al-Shorta 10, in the confrontation that brought them together at Sultan Sports City Stadium.

Ronaldo’s goals give victory the first Arab championship in its history

The King Salman Cup for Arab Clubs is considered one of the largest tournaments with huge financial prizes estimated at ten million dollars, where the title holder will receive an amount of six million dollars, while the runner-up will achieve a prize estimated at two and a half million dollars, in addition to the amounts obtained by the teams that reached the quarter-final and semi-final league, which enhances the importance of the tournament for the participating teams.

Michel Delgado scored the first goal for Al Hilal in the 51st minute of the match, then the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo scored the equalizer for Al Nasr in the 74th minute of the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo added the second goal for the team in the 98th minute of the game.

Abdul Ilah Al-Omari, Saudi Al-Nasr player, received a red card in the 71st minute of the match.
