The Spanish international and Real Madrid winger, Marco Asensio, is preparing to leave the royal club at the end of the current season and move to a new club during the summer transfer window, after refusing to renew his contract with the team.

The Spanish player’s contract with the royal club is set to expire at the end of the current season on June 30, 2023, and the star player has not agreed to the offers presented by Real Madrid management regarding renewal.
According to a report from the Spanish relief network, Asensio made the decision not to extend his contract because he did not feel important in the team under the direction of the Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, the technical director of the royal club.

The Spanish network indicated that Asensio has many offers and has not yet decided his destination. At first, he wanted to make his decision whether to continue at Real Madrid or not without allowing external offers to influence him.
Despite being free to negotiate with any team since January until signing, Asensio decided to wait for Real Madrid as his first choice was always to stay with the club. This was because the coach, Carlo Ancelotti, had always reassured him that he was fundamental to the team, despite being a substitute in all major matches.
It should be mentioned that Asensio joined Real Madrid in 2015 from Real Mallorca in a deal worth £3.5 million. He has scored 60 goals and provided 32 assists in 278 matches with Los Blancos over the past seven years.
